A teacher walked back over a mountain at night with three of his students. The wind blew out the lantern and they stood in the dark. He asked them what to do now. The first said something about the dark being the true light. The second said something about the way appearing to those who wait. The third said: look at your feet.
That was the answer he accepted. The first two were not wrong, they were just no use standing on a mountain in the dark. When you cannot see where the road goes, you can still see where you are standing.
