Do one small job today that somebody else would happily do for you. Carry it, lift it, wash it. Not because it needs you.
There was a teacher who kept working in the garden when he was far too old for it. His students worried and hid his tools. He looked for them, did not find them, and then did not come to eat. Not that day and not the next. When they asked why, he said: a day without working, a day without eating.
He was not punishing himself, and he was not earning his food. They had taken away the thing that made him one of them. Being looked after had quietly put him outside the day.
What have you stopped being allowed to help with?
Being useful and being worth something are not the same thing. He only ever wanted the first.
