Tonight, before you pick up your phone, hold it for a moment without turning it on. Look at the dark screen. Then put it down and drink a glass of water first. That’s all.
In an old garden in Kyoto there is a stone bowl with water in it. Four words are cut into the rim. Each word is missing a piece. The hole in the middle, where the water sits, is that missing piece — the same one for all four. Nobody added anything. The empty space was already the answer.
Maybe you are not missing anything either.
What did you already have today that you forgot to notice?
You are not behind. There is no race, and nobody is keeping score.
